Hello everyone! It's been a while. Geekstogo has helped me numerous times before and now I need your help again.My 2 years and 4 mos old laptop has been performing absolutely fantastic throughout its life. However, just a few days ago, when I started playing Rome: Total War again, there are instances wherein it will lag which doesn't happen before to be honest even in my old PC which specs are definitely lower than my laptop.
The last time I played this game on this laptop was just this June. I also noticed one thing recently: while I was playing Rome: Total War or when I do something aside from playing, I saw from my task manager that my Disk usage spikes up sometimes to 100% even though the processes are less than 1mb/s. When I'm not playing, I noticed that System is sometimes the highest up to 7-8mb/s.

But is that enough to elicit a 100 disk usage? And while I am playing, sometimes Rome: Total War has a high disk usage and apart from that, Adaware Antivirus. But is that enough to spike up the disk usage?So I thought it wise to do a HDD check using HD Tune. The result of the error checking was good, no bad sectors were found and according to the health tab, my HD is healthy and okay. So no single problem was found.So what's the problem then?
