You need to have a connection to the Internet in order to activate your license.Activation is only required for AQT v10 licenses (licenses purchased after 1st July 2014) plus some AQT v9 single-key licenses.If you are unable to Activate your license, AQT will remain in Evaluation Mode until the license has been activated.

This can be done in a couple of minutes and is the recommended option. This involves sending us an email with the activation information - we will respond with the activation code. This is a manual process at our end.

Deactivating your licenseYou MUST deactivate your license if you are removing AQT from your machine. You might do this, for instance, if you plan to use the license on a replacement machine.If your machine is re-imaged, the activation information will be wiped out. Please deactivate your license prior to doing this.The procedure for deactivating your license is described in. By default you can activate on 3 machines / userids.

Activation is by user and machine. If you are running AQT on multiple machines, or multiple userids on a machine, you need to go through the activation process for each of these. Remember that your license can only be used by yourself, so each of these machines/users can only by used by you. If you activate by web/email and receive an activation code, this can only be used on the machine from which you created the activation request. You cannot load the activation code into another AQT. By default, you can activate on 3 different machines / userids. If you need an increased limit, please contact us.

When you deactivate a license, it will free up your license count. This will enable you to activate on another machine. If you fail to deactivate, you will eventually hit your activation limit. This will be a nuisance for both you and us! Please help keep your license tidy by deactivating when needed.

If AQT is installed on your machine by an administrator, please ask them not to activate the license. If they do, they will become the user associated with the license. This can then prevent you from activating the license. If the administrator does activate, you will need to ask them to deactivate.Other Notes.

Activation only needs to be done once (per user/machine). Once you have activated successfully, AQT will not contact our activation servers again. It will not reactivate on a regular basis (as some other products do).
